We’re a mixed voice SATB chamber choir with around 35 members – led by our director Marc Murray.
Founded in 1973 by Michael Sands – where parents at Bishop Rawstorne School would accompany their children on a Summer visit, singing in Cathedrals around the country. It grew from there….
We perform Concerts, Carol Services, Cathedral & Church Services and enjoy putting on ‘Come and Sing’ sessions where everyone can join us! Take a look at our our Events pages
The undoubted highlight of each year is a week spent singing in one of the Cathedrals in England and Wales while the resident choir takes a well-earned rest. This is also a holiday for us, as rehearsals and services easily fit round sightseeing trips and outings.

We don’t give formal auditions but you should feel comfortable singing in harmony and coping with a relatively large repertoire. There will be an informal chat with the Musical Director after you have attended a few rehearsals.
